My name is Daisy Hornedo, and I’m a 61-year-old office coordinator at an outpatient clinic. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes, a condition characterized by irregular blood glucose levels. Fortunately, I was pre-diabetic and not diabetic. My Primary Care Physician informed me that my abnormal blood glucose was primarily caused by my excessive weight.

As a result, my blood glucose levels dropped from 6.5% to 5.8%. While my pre-diabetes remains, the disease process has been halted.
